Who are Gazetted ‍and Non-gazetted officer in Bangladesh

What is the difference between gazetted and non-gazetted? Who are Gazetted officers in Bangladesh? Officers appointed through notification are gazetted officers. The appointment of which is signed by a Deputy Secretary by order of the President. Generally, the officers appointed through gazette notification are gazetted. And all the officers appointed through GO Jari i.e. Government Order are not gazetted. To be gazetted they are gazetted by issuing a gazette notification. Gazette notification is required to be gazetted.

And the difference can be confirmed by gazetted officers as representatives of the President. Gazetted officer 2 types:

  • First class and
  • Second class.

Non-gazetted officers are not representatives of the President. He is the representative of the government. There are many non-gazetted officers in first and second class and many of them are working in grade 4/5/6/7/8/9/10/11.
