NU Honors Admission Circular 2022-2023. 2022-2023 Academic Year 1st Year Graduate (Honours) Class Admission Notification. Admission website: (www.nu.ac.bd/admissions). Online preliminary application for the admission process of 1st year Bachelor (Honours) class for the academic year 2022-2023 in colleges teaching Bachelor (Honours) class affiliated to National University will start from 05 April 4 PM and continue till 08 May 2023 at 12 PM. Interested candidates must fill out the application form from the National University admission website and submit the initial application fee of 250/- (two hundred and fifty) to the concerned college (through mobile banking as prescribed by the college or directly) by 09 May 2023. The classes of students admitted in this academic year will start from 01 June 2023.

 

Subject-wise merit lists will be prepared for each college separately based on the SSC and HSC examination results of the applicants in this admission process. Detailed information regarding this can be known from the Prospectus (Honours)/Important Notice option of the admission website of the National University. All concerned must complete the admission process in compliance with all hygiene rules related to the Covid-19 pandemic.

 

Honours Admission 2023 | NU Honours Admission Circular

Eligibility for nu ac bd admission honours 1st year:

a) HSC/equivalent examination (including 4th subject) of 2021/2022 and SSC/equivalent examination (including 4th subject) of 2021/2022 from any Education Board/Open University recognized in Bangladesh with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in both examinations separately. Students with a GPA of 6.5 can apply.

b) 2021/2022 HSC/equivalent examination (including 4th subject) and 2019/2020 SSC/equivalent examination (including 4th subject) from any Education Board/Open University recognized in Bangladesh with a minimum GPA of 3.0 both separately. Students with a minimum GPA of 7.0 on the exam can apply.

c) From Bangladesh Board of Technical Education only i) H.Sc. (Vocational) ii) H.Sc. (Business Management) iii) Students who have passed the Diploma-in-Commerce examination can apply subject to fulfilling condition no. b of paragraph-1.

d) Applicants will be determined as Eligible Subjects in 1st Year Graduation (Honours) from subjects read in Higher Secondary and Equivalent Examination and must have a minimum grade point of 3.0 in the said subjects (out of 200 marks).

e) Students who have passed at least four subjects with a ‘B’ grade in three subjects in the 2019/2020 O-Level examination and at least two subjects with a ‘B’ grade in one subject in the 2021/2022 A-Level examination can apply for this admission program subject to fulfillment of other conditions. All these students shall send the application form to the Dean, School of Undergraduate Education, National University directly/e-mail address (drughonours@gmail.com) within the stipulated time without applying online. The applicant’s name, parent’s name, subject of admission, institution name, and registered personal mobile number should be mentioned in the white paper application form. It should be noted that the subject of admission should be affiliated with the concerned institution. Besides, the O-Level of the applicant along with the application form An A-Level examination transcript, and two passport-size attested photographs should be attached.

f) In the case of students with foreign certificates, if their secondary and higher secondary level marks obtained by any education board recognized in Bangladesh are determined to be equivalent, they can also apply for this admission program subject to fulfilling all other conditions. All these students should send the application form to the Dean, School of Undergraduate Education, National University directly/e-mail address (drughonours@gmail.com) within the stipulated time without applying online. The applicant’s name, parent’s name, subject of admission, institution name, and registered personal mobile number should be mentioned in the white paper application form. It should be noted that the subject of admission should be affiliated with the concerned institution. Besides, all the tests of the applicant along with the application form A transcript, a copy of the Equivalency Certificate by the Education Board, and two passport-size attested photographs should be attached.

g) No student currently studying in Graduate (Honours)/Graduate (Honours) Professional/Graduate (Pass) Regular/Private course under the National University in the academic year 2021-2022 will be eligible for admission to the 1st year Graduate (Honours) class in the academic year 2022-2023. However, if these students wish to take admitted to the 1st year Bachelor (Honours) class in the academic year 2022-2023, they must cancel the admission of the previous academic year 2021-2022.

h) Dual admission of a student in Graduate (Honours)/Graduate (Honours) Professional/Graduate (Pass) Regular/Private course in the same academic year or in two different academic years will be deemed to be canceled.

  • Date of filling of initial application form online and collection of its print/PDF copy: 05/04/2023 to 08/05/2023.
  • 250/- (Two Hundred and Fifty) Taka (through mobile banking as prescribed by the college or directly) to the applicant along with the initial application form Date of submission: 06/04/2023 to 09/05/2023.
  • Date of confirmation of initial application form online by the college: 06/04/2023 to 10/05/2023.

 

www nu ac bd admission result:

a) Subjects will be allotted in 1st year Graduate (Honours) classes by preparing subject wise merit list for each college separately based on the GPA obtained in the SSC and HSC examinations of the applicants.

b) If two or more applicants in the same subject in the same institution/college have the same merit rank, then all these applicants will be

  • i) 40% and 60% of GPA obtained in SSC and HSC examination with 4th subject respectively.
  • ii) Merit will be formulated with 40% and 60% of the total marks obtained in SSC and HSC examinations including the 4th subject if necessary respectively.
  • iii) If thereafter two or more applicants have the same merit rank, preference will be given to the one with younger age. Merit will be formulated.

c) If any student applying for freedom fighter’s child/tribal/handicapped/pet quota gets admission to the 1st/2nd merit list, that student will not be placed in the quota merit list again.

d) The admission process will be completed through the 1st merit list, 2nd merit list subject to vacant seats, the special quota merit list, and 1st and 2nd release slip merit list. Note that there will be no opportunity to apply for the 3rd release slip in this admission process.

E) The concerned college can view the subject-wise merit list using a User ID, Password, and OTP. Applicants can know the result of the merit list through the admission-related website (www.nu.ac.bd/admissions) and SMS (nu space athn space roll no. to 16222) or from the college.

 

nu admission apply – How can I get admission to Honours?

a) Applicants should go to the National University admissions website (www.nu.ac.bd/admissions) under Honors Tab and click on Apply Now (Honours) option and enter the Secondary and Higher Secondary/equivalent examination roll number, registration number in the information table displayed on the website. , Board of Education/University, year of the pass, and a registered mobile number (own or guardian) should be entered correctly. It should be noted that this mobile number will be used by the National University in future to provide educational support information to the said student.

b) According to the information stored in the database, if Male is displayed instead of Male or Male instead of Female in the information table of the applicant, click on the Change option and give the correct Gender entry. Note that if a male applicant applies to a female college due to intentional or gender discrimination, the applicant’s application form/admission will be considered canceled.

c) At this stage the applicant will see the list of his eligible subjects. If the applicant selects the name of any college according to his/her choice of department and district, he/she will see the name and seat number of subjects eligible for admission in 1st year Bachelor (Honours) class in that college. From this list, the applicant has to carefully decide the order of preference of the subjects applied for. Later, the subjects will be allocated based on merit according to the preference of the applicant.

d) Applicants who wish to be admitted to Freedom Fighter’s Child/Aboriginal/Disabled/Pet quota should select the quota applicable to them in the specified place in the information table. Note that only children/children of National University teachers, officers, and employees can apply for the pet quota. Quota applications should have the original certificate issued by an appropriate authority. If an applicant qualifies for one or more quotas then quota preference should be determined. Note that the seats reserved for quota will be considered in addition to the subject-wise allotted seats.

e) At the time of filling out the form, the applicant should scan and upload the recently taken passport-size color photograph. Image size will be 120 × 150 pixels, Image Type: jpg, and maximum file size: 50Kb. If any photograph other than the applicant’s photograph is uploaded in the initial application form, the applicant’s admission and registration will be considered canceled.

f) Fill the table with the correct information and picture and click on Submit Application option. At this stage, the roll number and pin code of the applicant will be displayed and the applicant has to download the form [on A4 (8.5”×11”) offset white paper] and collect the print/pdf copy.

g) Correction of errors in the filled application form: The applicant should thoroughly verify that all the information and photographs appearing in his initial application form are correct. If there is any informational discrepancy or defective image in the application form, it should be corrected. To correct the application form, the applicant has to go to the Honors Login link in the Applicant Login option and give the roll number and pin entry of the application form. At this stage, if the applicant goes to the Form Cancel/Photo Change Option link and clicks the Click to Generate the Security Key option, the One Time Password (OTP) will be given to the personal mobile number mentioned in the application form through SMS. With this OTP entry, the applicant can cancel his application form and fill out the new application form and upload the correct photo. Note that the applicant will get the opportunity to cancel the initial application form only once. If the initial application form is confirmed by the college, the applicant cannot cancel the form.

h) The applicant should sign and date the printed initial application form in the prescribed space. This application form signed by the applicant and the initial application fee of Tk 250/- (two hundred and fifty) should be submitted to the concerned college (through mobile banking as prescribed by the college or directly) on time. The concerned college will confirm the initial application form of the applicants online, all the applicants will be notified through SMS. If the applicant does not receive the SMS on his mobile phone after submitting the application form to the college, it should be understood that his application form has not been verified by the concerned college. In this case, the applicant should contact the concerned college within the stipulated time. Initial application by the college Merit list of any applicant will not be prepared without assurance.

Dual Admission – www.nu.ac.bd admission:

If a student placed in the merit list in the 1st year Graduate (Honours) admission program in the academic year 2022-2023 has been issued a registration card after admission to the Graduate (Honours)/Graduate (Honours) Professional/Graduate (Pass) regular/private course in the previous academic year 2021-2022 Must cancel the admission of the previous academic year and take admission in this educational program. Otherwise, both the admission and registration of the student will be considered canceled due to dual admission.

Information regarding re-admission:

In the academic year 2022-2023, while the graduation (honours) admission process is ongoing (from 1st merit list to 1st release slip admission), there will be no chance of reinstatement of any student whose admission is canceled. However, if a student cancels the admission after taking admission in the 2nd release slip, only that student can apply as per the rules for reinstatement of admission.

Honours release slip:

Those applicants who do not get a place in the merit list, cancel the admission after getting a place in the merit list, or do not get admission in the allotted subject despite getting a place in the merit list, those applicants can apply for a release slip by determining the subject preference separately in five colleges subject to subject-wise vacant seats. If an applicant’s initial application form is not verified online by the college, the applicant will not be able to apply in the release slip.

(www.nu.ac.bd/admissions) applicant login:

A) To conduct the admission process, the concerned college should go to the College (undergraduate) Login option on the admission website of the National University and enter the assigned User ID and Password. During the initial application form/final admission confirmation, if you click on the Click to Generate the Security key option, a One Time Password (OTP) will be given to the mobile number provided by the concerned college through SMS and college e-mail. By using this OTP the concerned college can confirm the preliminary application form/final admission of the applicants.

b) The college will accept the initial application fee/final admission fee from the students either through mobile banking as prescribed under their supervision or direction. For this purpose, the respective colleges will provide instructions to the students on their websites and notice boards.

c) The college authorities must confirm the application form online by verifying whether all the information and photographs of the applicant shown in the application form are correct, otherwise, the admission and registration of the concerned applicant will be considered canceled due to faulty photographs and incorrect information. In case of students admitted under special quota, the original certificate issued by the appropriate authority should be verified. If any photograph other than the applicant’s photograph is displayed in the initial/final admission form, the concerned college shall inform the Dean’s Office (School of Undergraduate Education) in writing without endorsing the application form.

d) The fee rate prescribed by the National University for the 1st year Bachelor (Honours) admission program for the academic year 2022-2023 is as follows:

 

e) The college authority will confirm the initial application form online from the applicant through mobile banking or directly by depositing 250/- (two hundred and fifty) towards the initial application fee. Note that if the initial application form is not verified online by the college, the applicant will not be included in the merit list.

f) National University’s portion of the initial application fee [at the rate of Tk 150/- (one hundred and fifty) per applicant] shall be deposited by the college at any Sonali Bank branch. For this purpose, the concerned college has to download Pay Slip by clicking on the Application Payment Info (Honours) option through Login. In the Pay Slip for the academic year, 2022-2023 Graduate (Honours) ‘admission fund’ sector savings account number- 0218100003245 will be written and the total amount of money should be written and the receipt should be collected by depositing the fee at any nearest Sonali Bank branch with its print copy.

g) National University prescribed a portion of the registration fee of the students admitted by the college [at the rate of Tk. 485/- (four hundred and eighty-five) per student] shall be deposited in any Sonali Bank branch. For this purpose, the concerned college has to download Pay Slip by clicking on Admission Payment Info (Honours) option through Login. In the Pay Slip for the academic year 2022 – 2023 Graduate (Honours) ‘Registration Fee’ sector savings account number- 0218100000134 will be mentioned and the total amount of money will be written and the receipt should be collected by depositing the fee at the nearest Sonali Bank branch with its print copy.

 

The National University Authority reserves the right to amend, add, subtract, change or cancel any of the rules/sections/sub-sections of this admission procedure.
