Candidates selected for the respective posts will be appointed on a contractual basis for a period of 01 (one) year. The contract can be renewed for the next 01 (one) year with a minimum interval of 01/02 days after the expiry of the contract period if the performance of duties assigned during the contract period, annual performance evaluation, and police verification report are considered satisfactory. However, if the 1st party does not require the manpower even if the contract is executed, the 1st party can terminate the contract as per the terms of the contract executed with the 2nd party. No one related by blood (First Blood) or their spouses (First Blood) of the Area Director / Female Director of Pobis and officers/employees of Pobis can apply.

The post of Meter Reader cum Messenger employed on a contract basis shall be valid only for the duration of the contract period, which shall not be extended in any way. Any one of two or more siblings can apply. Even if two brothers are appointed, if it is proved later, the contract of both the appointed will be canceled. Candidates who have previously been exempted/removed/dismissed/voluntarily resigned or engaged in anti-disciplinary activities/convicted by a criminal court of the country before the expiry of their ongoing contract from any other Palli Vidyut Samiti need not apply. If anyone is appointed with concealment of information, he will be dismissed immediately without any investigation.

Any candidate who fraudulently conceals his permanent address by using another’s permanent address or by concealing information and gets appointed will be subject to disciplinary action as per the prevailing laws of the country including termination of the contract, police verification will be, and if the police verification is not satisfactory or if any contrary information is found, it will be informed. The agreement will be terminated without any prior notice. Final selected candidates must produce original copies of all qualifications/experience/other necessary certificates submitted along with the application form at the time of joining. The candidate will not be allowed to join the post if he/she fails to produce the original copy of any certificate/certificate that is not acceptable or if any inconsistency in data verification is observed.

10,000.00 (Ten Thousand) as a security deposit in favor of Pobis at the time of joining the selected candidate for appointment to the post of Meter Reader cum-Messenger (Contractual) which will be refunded on satisfactory completion of employment. The decision of the authority in any matter relating to recruitment shall be final.
