Dhaka Electric Supply Company (DESCO) Limited is entrusted with the responsibilities of operation, maintenance & development of the power system network and distribution of electricity within most of the areas of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), Purbachal, and part of the Tongi area. DESCO invites applications from eligible candidates for appointment in the following posts on a contractual basis.

General Conditions:

1. Age limit is a maximum of 30 (thirty) years as of 25/03/2020. In the case of departmental candidates having the required qualifications age limit is a maximum of 40 (Forty) years as of 25/03/2020.

2. Freedom fighter quota’ will be followed as per government rules. In the case of the son/daughter of Freedom Fighters age limit is a maximum of 32 (Thirty-two) years as of 25/03/2020 for the posts under Sl. No.4 to 6.

3. Affidavits with respect to age will not be accepted.

4. Candidates in service will be required to apply through the proper channel.

5. Incorrect/incomplete applications and applications received after the deadline will not be entertained and liable for rejection.

6. Persuasion of any kind will disqualify the candidature.

7. The appointing authority reserves the right to decline any of the posts, accept or reject any application, and increase or decrease the number of posts/positions as it may seem proper and no explanation for such action will be provided to the applicant.

Application Procedure:

(1) Interested candidates have to apply only through the ‘Online Application Form’ wherein a scanned photograph, signature, last required educational certificate, experience certificate (where applicable), freedom fighter’s certificate of parents or grandparents as applicable of the candidate have to be
uploaded in due places in the form. The online application form’s web link will be available on the website of Dhaka Electric Supply Company Limited
(www.desco.gov.bd). Before filling up the application form read the instructions carefully which will be available on the DESCO website.
(2) Scanned copy of the Microsoft Office course certificate has to be uploaded online application form for the posts under Sl. No.4 to 6.

3. The applicant must pay Tk. 1,500/- (One Thousand Five Hundred) for the posts under Sl. No.1 to 3 and Tk.1,000/- (One Thousand) for Sl. No 4 to 6
through Dutch Bangla Bank Ltd. ( DBBL) Rocket service with the following necessary directives mentioned on DESCO’s website (www.desco.gov.bd).

4. Last date for submission of the application is 03/04/2023 at 11:45 pm.
