The well-disciplined, efficient and efficient ‘Battalion Ansar’ members of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force are engaged in maintaining law and order along with other forces including providing security to important state installations in plain areas with the Bangladesh Army in the Chittagong Hill Tracts area.

Applications are invited from Bangladeshi male candidates interested in filling up the vacant posts (male only) of 418 Temporary Battalion Ansars of the Army. Candidates have to apply online. Selection and integration will be done in the zero quotas mentioned next to the districts mentioned in the table below. Note that the recruited battalion Ansar members will be made permanent on completion of 06 (six) years of satisfactory service. Eligible candidates are required to appear for Physical Qualification and Preliminary Selection before the Selection Committee as per the schedule at the scheduled place and date (Date and Time will be intimated through mobile notification).

Preliminarily shortlisted candidates will have to attend the written and oral test at the same venue and on the same date. Final selected candidates will have to join Ansar VDP Academy, Safipur, Gazipur for basic training of 06 (six) months duration.

• The application form should be filled out by clicking on the link “Application for Battalion Ansar Posts” on Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force website (www.ansarvdp.gov.bd) from Union Digital Center (UDC) or any computer with an online facility. The link will be active from May 06, 2023, to May 15, 2023An online registration fee of Rs.200/- (Two Hundred) has to be deposited through Bkash/Rocket/Mobicash, etc. displayed on the application portal which is non-refundable. After completing the online application form registration every candidate will get a reference id and save the reference id and printed application form. Later, instructions will be given to download the admit card through SMS on the mobile number given in the candidate’s application. Candidates will print and save the admit card online through the said reference ID and appear at the designated place at the scheduled time for the purpose of selection with the admit card, application form, and all necessary certificates.

Medical and written examination of candidates:

In the selection process candidates will undergo a preliminary medical examination, written examination, and final medical examination. Only selected candidates will be done Fasting Sugar, HbAIC, HBsAg, Anti HCV, Serum Creatinine Ges Dope Test. Note that the candidates who are qualified in Fasting Sugar, HbAIC & Serum Creatinine blood test, negative in HBsAg I Anti HCV blood test, Not Detected in Ges Dope Test (Urine) test will be considered to be finally selected. Later after completion of the police VR (VR) appointment letter will be issued subject to receipt of the proper investigation report.
