Recruitment procedure for the post of Sub-Inspector, the initial process of recruitment of manpower for the post of Sub-Inspector (SI-Unarmed) in Bangladesh Police starts by publishing the notification. Sub Inspector 2024 Application Eligibility:
Height minimum 5 feet 6 inches, chest size 32 inches in normal state and 34 inches in an expanded state in case of male candidates. Height minimum 5 feet 4 inches for female candidates. Possessing a minimum Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university and computer proficiency. Candidate must be single.

Sub-Inspector Recruitment 2024 Selection Steps:
Preliminary Screening:
Based on the SSC, HSC, Degree/Graduate/equivalent examination results, and height, a certain number of eligible candidates will be selected for the physical ability verification test through web-based preliminary screening based on the recruitment rules. Here tall people are more likely to not get cut in online screening.
Physical Size and Endurance Test:
Candidates shortlisted in the web-based preliminary screening are notified to participate in the Physical Endurance Test along with physical measurements, and document verification on the date, time, and place mentioned in the notification. Candidates have to appear at the specified place on the date mentioned in the notification. In this phase, the candidate has to participate in seven events. The events are running, long jump, high jump, push-ups, sit-ups, dragging, and rope climbing. In this case, the physical fitness test is divided into three days:
First day:
● Candidates will be present at the examination venue with all the documents. After appearing at the venue, their height will be measured with a specific scale and they will be admitted to the main venue of the examination.
● Candidates height, weight, and chest size of male candidates will be measured as per the qualification mentioned in the notification.
● Documents of candidates will be verified.
● Candidates will be declared qualified if physical measurements and documents are found correct and candidates will be given a copy of admit card to participate in the physical fitness verification test.
● Eligible candidates will be given a copy of the Declaration of Indemnity (undertaking that your family will not hold anyone responsible in case of an accident while participating in the Physical Endurance Test) along with notification during the Physical Endurance Test (PET) on the first day. The indemnity declaration form with the signature of the guardian must be submitted to the appropriate authorities before participating on the second day of the examination.
Second day:
Physical fitness verification test is to be performed separately for each event. If a candidate fails to participate in one, he/she will not be able to participate in the next phase.
First (Race): Male candidates have to run a distance of 1600 meters in 7 minutes 30 seconds and female candidates have to run a distance of 1000 meters in 7 minutes.
II (Long Jump): Male candidates must jump a distance of at least 10 feet and female candidates at least 6 feet. You will get a maximum of three chances to pass this step.
III (High Jump): Male candidates must clear a height of at least 3.5 feet and female candidates at least 2.5 feet. You will get a maximum of three chances to pass this step as well.
Note that running is the real thing in these events. If you can run, chances are low that you will be excluded from the rest. But make a habit of doing at least 10 pushups.
Sub-Inspector 2024 Written & Psychological Test:
Candidates who have passed the physical fitness test will have to participate in written and psychological tests of 250 marks in three subjects. There will be an examination of 100 marks in English, Bengali Essay and Composition, 100 marks in General Knowledge and Mathematics, and 50 marks in Psychology.
Sub Inspector Recruitment 2023 Computer Test:
Candidates who have cleared the written and psychological tests will have to appear for the computer skills test as per the scheduled venue, date, and schedule. Microsoft Office, web browsing, and troubleshooting are to be given in this exam. Those who pass the exam will be selected for the next step. Those who fail will end their journey here.
Sub Inspector 2024 Intelligence and Viva Test:
At this stage, candidates have to participate in intelligence and verbal test of 50 marks. Based on the marks obtained in the written, psychological and intelligence, and oral tests, the results of the qualified candidates will be published as per the recruitment rules.
Sub Inspector Recruitment 2024 Health Test:
Candidates who have cleared the written, psychological, intelligence, and oral tests will have to participate in the health test at the Central Police Hospital, Dhaka on the scheduled date and time.
Sub Inspector Recruitment 2024 Police Verification:
A filled police verification form should be submitted at the time of participating in the health test. A candidate will be initially nominated for training only if he/she is found satisfactory in police verification.
Final nomination for Basic Training:
Nomination for Basic Training Candidates recommended by the Selection Board will be finally nominated for Basic Training on satisfactory consideration after the declaration of eligibility in the health examination and completion of police verification. In this case, if the candidate conceals any information in the police verification form or is incomplete, wrong, or false.
